What are parabens and why are they bad for you? 

Parabens
are a group of synthetic preservatives used to prevent the growth of
bacteria and mould in products; they can mimic oestrogen in the body,
leading to concerns about hormonal disruption. Breast Cancer UK suggests
avoiding them as there are some studies that show there is a link
between exposure to parabens and breast cancer.

What are sulphates and are they bad for you? 

Sulphates
are cleansing agents that create lather and remove dirt and oil. Some
such as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, can be harsh on skin and hair, stripping
away natural oils, and may cause irritation, especially for sensitive
skin or scalp. At MadeKind we use Mipa Laureth Sulphate which is
effective at cleaning dirt, oil and impurities from skin and hair, but
is much more gentle and is even suitable for sensitive skin.
